Hearing & Singing the Changes

Hearing & Singing the Changes is a forum for vocalists to expand their ears and their melodic creativity. In the series, vocalists hone both the skills and the play of vocal improvisation, getting to enjoy the simple and supreme pleasure of a cappella harmony, singing ear-enriching material Dylan has spent many years passionately developing and sharing.

The class meets once a week for an hour and a half in mid-townManhattan. Sessions are ongoing.  All are welcome to audit their first class for FREE!  Visit our Contact page to schedule.

The singers work in rhythm and phrasing over various grooves; listening, playing, responding and creating in the moment; expanding their inner ears through a cappella harmony; and building melodic vocabulary through classic solos.
